WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF ADMISSION TO TRANSFER AT YOUR CARE FACILITY?

We make sure that transition of your loved one from your home to our home remains hassle free.We encourage to visit the facility before the day of admission. In case if you are not available, your extended family may visit the same with prior communication. Visiting the facility brings more clearity and confidence to family members. Upon approaching a reception desk, you will be asked for the purpose of visit and a minor formality of form filling will be made followed by assigning an orienteer for you. Our co ordinator at center will help you out in form filling, document submission and transfer of your loved one. WHAT HAPPENS ONCE MY FATHER IS AT YOUR INSTITUTE?

We would encourage admitting family to provide as many details as possible for the admitting member. The more you share, the more we will be able to serve your dear one. Once your father is at our center, he will be primarily assessed by nurse and will make few recordings of vital signs. The team of care-plan formation will than work out on routine, basic and advance needs of services user and withing 48 hours the care plan will be formed for the service user. If required the physician will be consulted on the day of admission, or else on his schedule visit he will make general assessment of service user. Family may expect a call from our center if we would need your assistance for few details which may appear to us later on.

WHAT ABOUT REHABILITATION, WHO CONDUCT IT AND WHAT ARE THE FACILILTIES AVAILABLE?

At kadji, we have full fledge physical therapy and recreation therapeutic areas. With the help of the expert team of Physiotherapist and rehab specialist, an assessment will be conducted and plan of therapy will be formed. A service user will be assisted by PCA (Personal care assistant) to PT – Clinic of the center which functions from 10.00 – 12.30 mornig and 5.00 – 7.00 at everning during week days. Family can come and observe the rehabilitation with prior permission from the administration.

WHAT KIND OF BED TO BE PROVIDED TO THE RESIDENT?

We have both normal home furniture bed available at center. Further, we also have recliner bed with adjustable functions from both head end and leg end. Depending upon the assessment conducted by our admission committee, they would suggest the best option for the residing patient. Although, we do ask the choices of patient, providing it does not compromise the safety of them at first.

CAN FAMILY CUSTOMISE THE INTERIOR OF THE ROOM?

Provided a family has booked a special room for long term care, there is no issue with family decorating an interior of the room based on likes and dislikes of the resident. Although we suggest to bring only movable furniture to the property. We respect the choices of our resident and we would be happy to serve them under their preferred environment.

WHAT ARE THE TIMINGS TO VISIT THE RESIDENT AT CENTER?

There is a visitor policy in place at our center. We respect privacy and confidentiality of resident and we expect the same from our visitors and family members. The timing for the visitors are set as 10.00 – 12.30 am and 5.00 – 7.00 pm. These timings are suggestive in most cases, as you may expect a call in emergency situations, wherein we would like you or your closed relative to be present during certain medical condition for decision making purpose.

HOW DO YOU MANAGE PEOPLE IN COMA?

We have special unit which is dedicated to coma care with full time nursing staff and attendent present. Coma unit is equipped with oxygen facility, Nebulisation, suction facility with utmost cleanliness and hygiene maintenance at unit. A special diet is prepared for such patients and are monitored regularly by our health officers. Patient in coma are more vulnerable to infections, of which we make sure the chances are minimized and kept to nil. We have facility for periodic blood and urine check up for coma patients. Their routine is also equipped with vigorous chest and limb physiotherapy twice a day.

HOW DO I COMMUNICATE WITH MY MOTHER WHO IS KEPT AT YOUR CENTER?

We have separate unit wireless telphones, which can be used for the residents. Moreover, you can also utilise our facetime and skype services which can be organsied at the time of admission of resident. The facility of video calling can be organsied once a week, depending upon the agreement of mutual timing between family and staff.

DO KADJI PROVIDE AN ARRANGEMENT FOR THE STAY OF RESIDENT'S FAMILY MEMBER?

We have alliance with near by service apartments. Our reception can make an arrangement of the same. Since we do not allow any family member to stay over night at the center.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING EMERGENCY

Emergency situations at KADJI are primarily reported by nursing team member to health officer, who assess the emergency situations and coordinate with senior medical consultant. If at all medical condition is manageable at KADJI, we do so after a consent and a communication with primary guardian. If a transfer is needed, it is taken care by health officer once a consent is provided to KADJI by primary guardian.
