Kadji started providing services at families home in the city of Vadodara from 14 th July 2011. There were 5 employees who along with founder Dr.Nikunj chavda began the mission of caring our elderly. In about 7 months we realized that providing a care giver at families place will not serve the purpose 100%. This led us to build our very first 9 bedded care center for elderly. Today the family of kadji have grown to 70 employees and more than 50 beds.
An elderly who is at risk of safety and security at their own home, either due to absence of their guardian or unavailability of their care givers. Or a family member who has become dependent on others for their daily living should seek an option. of care home like kadji. We offer our care services for range of individuals. From completely independent elderly to the one who is in complete coma are served at various facilities of KADJI THE CARE
KADJI offers a variety of facilities at variety locations. For. Eg. Families who can not afford much can choose one facility whereas the family looking for a luxurious care can choose a kadji villa facilities. These facilities offers everything one would need for healthy routine.
There are no charges taken when families comes for consultation on exploring ideas of how to accommodate their loved one. Our friendly representative makes sure their worry for their elderly parents is taken care of.
Medical consultations of a specialist such as Psychiatrist, Dermatologist, Neurologist, ENT specialists, etc are excluded in the packages offered at kadji. Physicians are on call whenever require; and are coordinated by qualified and experienced Medical officers.
There are two type of medical emergencies – One which is very critical and requires an ICU admission, in which case we transfer the residence to nearby pre-identified ICU attached hospital. There are few emergencies which are handled at kadji itself with the help of consulting physician who would be available  on call.
No, there will be a medical officer available for general shift; Physicins are available on - call and they visit on allocated time at particular facilities.
At KADJI, one would find a unit system of care taking. Where in each unit has 3 bedrooms and each room will have one care giver during the day time. During night time, a unit will have a one caregiver. At any point of time there will be care giver who would be in touch with immediate Medical officer for any emergency update regarding the resident.
Yes. A family can visit 2.5 hours in the morning and 2.5 hours in the evening. A distant relatives can inform the office in advance if they wish to visit the residence during the time apart from visiting hours.
Relatives can not stay with the residence. Although, we do have associated fully furnished service apartments for the stay of relatives.
Ideally, KADJI would not be the place for residents who exhibit such tendency, we refer such patients to the affiliated mental health care center for treatment.
A primary guardian usually takes decision of hospitalization, although in absence of primary guardian, an immediate medical officer takes decision for hospitalization considering the best recovery of the admitted resident.
A resident is allowed to take his/her time for wake up which is followed by prayers and breakfast – medication. A morning is filled with physiotherapy and recreation sessions or choice of activity is offered to resident. By 12:30 lunch is served followed by which a resident goes for 3 hours of break / sleep. 4:30 is an afternoon tea time where residents enjoy hot breakfast and tea/coffee. Evening is again thrilled by physiotherapy and recreation sessions.
KADJI ‘S coma care division is specialized for the care of coma. The facilities of oxygen, suction, nebulization are available at the unit.
Our charity wing known as JINGO FOUNDATION is a registered charity organization with 80 G and 12 AA certification. Under which we adopt the elderly who are based in slum and underpriviledged. More details on our NGO is available at www.jingofoundation.org
We believe in human services and our association with families remain for the life time. We help our families in all the difficult times and be with them. We do assist filling online death certification process when death happens at our facility.
Family will be allocated a mobile number which will be available for the communication, alternately one can also request for the FACETIME and SKYPE session for video calling.
An outing, massage, spa, etc is available on chargeable bases.
We hire our care givers from institutes who train them, this procedure is followed by an intense in house training for their development. This training includes manual handling, transfer training, first aid, communication, dementia care, specialized nursing procedure techniques, etc.
Yes, these incidences do happen at those centers who are not equipped with enough infrastructure and with untrained staffing. We do conduct many abuse prevention trainings and programmes plus there is a continuous video surveillance available to monitor and keep check on such incidences.
